Our History
From a prayer network in 2001 to a nationwide ministry — the story of God's faithfulness through Love Unconditional.
The Journey
25 Years of Faithfulness
Since 2001, Love Unconditional has walked through seasons of growth, challenge, expansion, and renewal — always anchored in the conviction that Uganda's schools hold the key to the nation's transformation.
Founded as NSPN
Michael Mawa and a group of passionate believers founded the Nationwide Schools' Prayer Network in Kampala, with a vision to pray for and reach Ugandan secondary schools with the Gospel.
First School Outreaches
The ministry conducted its first formal school outreach programmes — reaching over 20 secondary schools in Kampala and the Central Region with evangelism and discipleship.
Chaplaincy Programme Launched
Recognising the need for a continuous presence in schools, Love Unconditional launched its school chaplaincy programme — placing trained chaplains in schools on a long-term basis.
Rebranded to Love Unconditional
The ministry was formally renamed Love Unconditional to reflect the broader scope of its discipleship work — beyond schools, into communities and the SLF leadership network.
Regional Expansion
Ministry outreaches expanded beyond Kampala into Eastern, Northern, and Western Uganda. The first West Nile mission trip was conducted in 2014.
SLF Formally Established
The Strategic Leadership Forum was officially constituted as the discipleship and leadership development arm of the ministry — bringing together alumni, chaplains, and committed believers.
Ministry through COVID
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Love Unconditional pivoted to online ministry — launching its podcast, digital devotionals, and virtual SLF meetings to keep the community connected.
Silver Jubilee — 25 Years
Love Unconditional celebrates 25 years of ministry in Uganda — marking this milestone with a year of thanksgiving, renewed vision, and a commitment to reach every school in every region of Uganda.
